Two members of KontiKat participated at the esteemed forum with the intention to bring the research related to ‚crisis’ to surface at information system venues:

The group leader of KontiKat (Dr. Marén Schorch) organized two Master Classes titled “CSCW research in small and medium enterprises” and “Qualitative methods in CSCW”. These Master Classes not only elaborated the core methodological apparatus at CSCW in terms of qualitative methods, but also widened the focus of mainstream CSCW research plethora towards the necessitous community of practise like small and medium enterprises. Also, there was another contribution from KontiKat by Hussain Abid Syed who very successfully presented his exploratory paper published within the conference proceedings under doctoral colloquium, titled “Sustainability in Crisis: Towards Business Continuity in Small and Medium Enterprises”.

KontiKat received appreciations for going out of the box in research and development, and also for the research related to small and medium enterprises, keeping in view their paramount significance in the economic frame of Europe. We are very happy about this conference and look very much forward to hosting next years’ ECSCW in Siegen!
